City Daily Photo theme day .... Umbrellas

This was taken at a remembrance day some years ago. Sad occasion but I think it makes a good picture.

Great photo, Lynn.
I thought of you yesterday when I saw the Tewkesbury trebles getting a rave review in Gramophone magazine, and then I got home to find an envelope covered in photos of Kate Middleton on my doormat and I'll never be able to look my postman in the face again. You know me so well. Time to pick up my pen, dust off the cobwebs and reply …

Thanks Dive! Oh goodie it arrived! Haha, was slightly worried you might jettison it straight into the bin thinking it was an ad. of some sort. Yes I do know you well! How I giggled popping that into the post box. Oh yes do pick up that pen...

I don't know about the Tewkesbury trebles Dive? Do tell.

They're the boy trebles at the Cathedral, Lynn. Some fabulous music going on there this year, and some great Shakespeare heading your way, too, from the Globe Company with the History Plays being staged on historical Wars of the Roses battlefields around the country (yes, including Tewkesbury). Don't you dare miss it!
Watch out for a much plainer envelope heading your way. Please excuse the rampant alliteration and Roundhead sentiments contained within.

Haha I adored the alliteration and the Roundhead sentiments were... contained. ;D Shall be replying soon.
So... we have Tewkesbury Abbey or Gloucester Cathedral. Shall see which you mean. I do love to catch whatever I can, we are very lucky to have quite a rich programme of events! Going to try to go to the re-enactment this year, 1471 in the fields around Tewkesbury and by the Abbey. Haven't been for years. Cobblers children and all that.. I love the history of where I live.

The choristers at the Abbey are absolutely marvellous. Evensong is fab. I should go more often.
